HOW-TO GUIDES: Filing a Civil Harrassment Restraining Order

How to file a Civil Harrassment Restraining Order

Is a neighbor harrassing you? Has an ex-roommate stalked you? Has a friend threatened to hurt you? Are you scared?

You can obtain a Civil Harrassment Restraining Order from the Court to help protect you.

DO NOT USE this type of restraining order for your spouse/partner or former spouse/partner, someone you dated, or a close relatative such as a parent, child, brother, sister, grandparent, etc. Rather, please consider using the Domestic Violence Restraining Order.

See the California Court's website for more information on Civil Harrassment Restraining Orders.
